Dummies, am I right?

E is now 15 week’s old. Yes, I know, HOW? It is going so fast it is unbelievable. However, for this whole 15 weeks, she has always refused a dummy. She is exclusively breastfed since birth, however, she has been fed with bottles and has taken to them straight away. We have always used Tommee Tippee with M for both bottles and dummies, and he took to dummies the first day we tried him on them, so we thought that E would be the same. E is 100% different, and so far we have tried around four different types of …

A visit to Katie’s Garden

On Sunday we were invited along to Katie’s Garden in Sunderland for a Harry Potter themed craft session to make Mandrakes! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a fabulous little store right next to the car park which was perfect when you have little ones along with you. The door was very inviting and led us into the store where we were greeted and shown to our table to be sorted into our houses with the sorting hat! M got Ravenclaw and B got Hufflepuff, whilst I got Gryffindor, although they did say they can see some Slytherin in me. (Have you seen …

Summer is here!

and we are loving it so far! This year has been an up and down one for weather already, and I can not believe that we over halfway through. This week we have seen temperatures at 28°c and rising, which can only result in one thing… it is pool time! M is obsessed with water and loves to splash around and play, and even E got to join in this time and she loved it too! I am very glad I have babies who take to the water as fast as I did. It has been a great way to …

The missing shoe

M is a little character, even more so since E came along, and just loves being outdoor and exploring things. I tend to be a bit forgetful as to were we put his shoes, as I can imagine most parents are when kids learn to take them off themselves! when did he become so independent? For the past month I have searched high and low for one of his new shoes (why is it always one!) – I checked the car twice, asked nursery three times, checked over grandads and even re-did out his room just in case! To my …

Life with Number 2…

As most of you are aware, this blog is about me, my life and my little man. Having a child changes you, no matter what stage of life you are in. For me, I was 19, in a very new relationship of only 5 months, having just got a new job too. Finding out I was pregnant gave me many different feelings, one of the strongest and I believe most common was fear. Fear of the unknown, what could go wrong, heck, what could go right! but another strong one was love. Almost the moment those 2 lines appeared I …

Ten in ten..

Not kids! Things I want to do with M before E arrives.. 10 things in 10 weeks… seems do-able, right? I know it may sound very strange to some people, but I officially have MMG… Major mum guilt! My baby will no longer be an only child, and for many reasons, this is a great thing! but part of me keeps feeling bad for him not getting to experience being the only one for a little bit longer, he is only 18 months! Even though I know he’s going to be so excited when his sister comes, and it just …

Car Safety

“Sponsored post.“ Car safety is one of my main priorities with having M in the car and E on the way. I have searched high and low to find ways to make sure they will be safe whilst on all of our journeys. The main safety comes from the car in which you will be driving with a lot of newer cars come with features which allow can make massive differences over older models. Cars.com have made the process of finding your ideal car easier with their comparison tool which allows you to show cars side by side to review …

Brunch with Messy Little Thing!

Today has been a very exciting day for little man and me, as we were invited along to have brunch with Messy Little Thing!!  We traveled up to Fratello’s in Jesmond, Newcastle for a meal, and to test out Messy Little Thing’s full body bib. Messy Little Thing was launched by Dawn-Elizabeth Howe, after trying out so many bibs to keep her daughter clean when she was weaning, and not finding any that suited her needs or had the right material, Dawn decided to bring out the sewing machine and make one for herself! Along came Messy Little Thing. As Dawn’s …

The Christmas Tag

I can’t believe that Christmas is upon us- just two more sleeps in fact! This has been a crazy year for my household, a one I am glad is almost over! I have been tagged by Country Heart and Home to do the Christmas tag- check her answers here!  Let’s begin then… Whats your favourite Christmas movie? The Grinch! Ever since being a small child I have always loved watching the Grinch on Christmas Eve, with a hot chocolate and fresh new PJ’s, there is simply nothing better. Always has me laughing, smiling, and crying all at once. A tradition …
