A visit to Katie’s Garden

On Sunday we were invited along to Katie’s Garden in Sunderland for a Harry Potter themed craft session to make Mandrakes! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a fabulous little store right next to the car park which was perfect when you have little ones along with you. The door was very inviting and led us into the store where we were greeted and shown to our table to be sorted into our houses with the sorting hat! M got Ravenclaw and B got Hufflepuff, whilst I got Gryffindor, although they did say they can see some Slytherin in me. (Have you seen …

When is it time to cut their hair?

So I come to you today to ask a question. When is it time to cut their hair? Little man has never had a lot of hair (despite tons of heartburn, that landed me on tablets for 5 months!) and was born with very light, thin hair. We have decided that we were not going to cut it till it got long enough to be put in a bobble, good idea, right? Think I was wrong. The back of his hair is full of beautiful curls, and I could easily pop it into a tiny little ponytail! However, with his …

Countdown to Grainger Market! Friday 1st December

Now that it’s coming to the end of November It’s time to start planning for CHRISTMAS! This year is going to be a bit more exciting for me since I am able to drive, I can go a little further for Christmas shopping!   I have been invited to Grainger Christmas market in Newcastle, and I couldn’t be more excited! I always love shopping for Christmas presents, but there is something so special about getting presents from markets! They seem to be so much more personal, and you usually find things you wouldn’t in shops and much better prices! Supporting …

Pizza Hut Visit

I admit that I have never before been to Pizza hut… Until today! And honestly, I wish I had gone sooner. After a few hours of baby free time today, we ventured out in search of some christmas shopping, and food. I had previously mentioned Pizza Hut, but had never got round to actually going. As soon as we walked through the door we were greated by a lovely young man, who showed us to our table, gave us menu’s and let us know about “the great BIG sharer” which is the one we actually went for. I would say …

Schwarzkopf colour mask review

It’s that time again, for a new hair colour! Well, 2 this time, actually! Since we are heading into October, and halloween is right around the corner, I thought I would go with something more fitting, and I’m very pleased with the results. I chose directions neon blue, which I’ve had before, and schwarzkopf’s light brown. This is the first time I’ve tried the schwarzkopf colour mask, and was amazed to find a circular little tub and a tube to go inside. You also get instructions, a pair of gloves, and a small sample of conditioner. The smell was slightly stronger …

The start of nursery!

It’s that time! School has begun, and little ones are on their way to nursery and pre-school. This year I’m heading back to college myself, to study Acess to Health. This means Milo has gone to nursery! He goes every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for a few hours, and it’s on site of the college so it doesn’t feel too bad after I’ve dropped him off. With most nurserys they do a few tester days first before the big day, to help your little one settle in, which I found extremely calming and it gave me peace of mind that he …

Hair dyes!

One of my favourite topics has to be my hair. To those who don’t know, I have had my hair every colour in the rainbow and then some in between. I always love to see people getting creative with their hair, as it really shows of their personalilty. I have been dying my hair since I was around 14, starting out with simple changes such as blonde highlights, or tips. This quickly turned into using unnatural colours such as red, which was my first big move. I loved the brightness of the colour, and how it shone in the sun, …
