Dummies, am I right?

E is now 15 week’s old. Yes, I know, HOW? It is going so fast it is unbelievable. However, for this whole 15 weeks, she has always refused a dummy. She is exclusively breastfed since birth, however, she has been fed with bottles and has taken to them straight away. We have always used Tommee Tippee with M for both bottles and dummies, and he took to dummies the first day we tried him on them, so we thought that E would be the same. E is 100% different, and so far we have tried around four different types of …

Summer is here!

and we are loving it so far! This year has been an up and down one for weather already, and I can not believe that we over halfway through. This week we have seen temperatures at 28°c and rising, which can only result in one thing… it is pool time! M is obsessed with water and loves to splash around and play, and even E got to join in this time and she loved it too! I am very glad I have babies who take to the water as fast as I did. It has been a great way to …

The missing shoe

M is a little character, even more so since E came along, and just loves being outdoor and exploring things. I tend to be a bit forgetful as to were we put his shoes, as I can imagine most parents are when kids learn to take them off themselves! when did he become so independent? For the past month I have searched high and low for one of his new shoes (why is it always one!) – I checked the car twice, asked nursery three times, checked over grandads and even re-did out his room just in case! To my …

Life with Number 2…

As most of you are aware, this blog is about me, my life and my little man. Having a child changes you, no matter what stage of life you are in. For me, I was 19, in a very new relationship of only 5 months, having just got a new job too. Finding out I was pregnant gave me many different feelings, one of the strongest and I believe most common was fear. Fear of the unknown, what could go wrong, heck, what could go right! but another strong one was love. Almost the moment those 2 lines appeared I …

Happy new year everyone!   I know I’m slightly late, but as I mentioned in my last post I have moved house and it has been very busy here for the past 2 weeks. The Christmas Tag

I can’t believe that Christmas is upon us- just two more sleeps in fact! This has been a crazy year for my household, a one I am glad is almost over! I have been tagged by Country Heart and Home to do the Christmas tag- check her answers here!  Let’s begin then… Whats your favourite Christmas movie? The Grinch! Ever since being a small child I have always loved watching the Grinch on Christmas Eve, with a hot chocolate and fresh new PJ’s, there is simply nothing better. Always has me laughing, smiling, and crying all at once. A tradition …

Countdown to Grainger Market! Friday 1st December

Now that it’s coming to the end of November It’s time to start planning for CHRISTMAS! This year is going to be a bit more exciting for me since I am able to drive, I can go a little further for Christmas shopping!   I have been invited to Grainger Christmas market in Newcastle, and I couldn’t be more excited! I always love shopping for Christmas presents, but there is something so special about getting presents from markets! They seem to be so much more personal, and you usually find things you wouldn’t in shops and much better prices! Supporting …

Sunderland Illuminations 2017

Every year as a child I remember this time of the year fondly. The leaves falling to the ground, the cold nights setting in, and who can forget the hot chocolate before bed! This year we decided, since I can now drive (woo!) that we would venture a little further out, and explore the dark nights and see what we find. We saw an add on Facebook for Sunderland Illuminations 2017, and thought since we went to Durham Illuminations in 2015 that we would check this one out too. Sunderland is only a 45 minute drive away for us, and …

Schwarzkopf colour mask review

It’s that time again, for a new hair colour! Well, 2 this time, actually! Since we are heading into October, and halloween is right around the corner, I thought I would go with something more fitting, and I’m very pleased with the results. I chose directions neon blue, which I’ve had before, and schwarzkopf’s light brown. This is the first time I’ve tried the schwarzkopf colour mask, and was amazed to find a circular little tub and a tube to go inside. You also get instructions, a pair of gloves, and a small sample of conditioner. The smell was slightly stronger …

The start of nursery!

It’s that time! School has begun, and little ones are on their way to nursery and pre-school. This year I’m heading back to college myself, to study Acess to Health. This means Milo has gone to nursery! He goes every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for a few hours, and it’s on site of the college so it doesn’t feel too bad after I’ve dropped him off. With most nurserys they do a few tester days first before the big day, to help your little one settle in, which I found extremely calming and it gave me peace of mind that he …
