Life with little Man Christmas Christmas Tree- real or fake?

Christmas Tree- real or fake?

Most people already have their tree’s up by now, I am guilty of this!

With having a 1-year-old and college I honestly don’t have a lot of ‘spare’ time (do any of us, really?). So one day having 45 minutes till I needed to leave I decided to drag last years tree out of the cupboard where it lives along with the baubles and tinsel and all the lights (seriously how many do we need?)  and throw it together.

Of course, Little man was over the moon to join in handing me baubles and laughing when I kept dropping them!

but putting all this together really had me thinking, would it be easier to have a real tree next year? In the house we are in currently there is just no room for one, and I wasn’t even going to have a tree at all for that reason (but hey, it is Christmas!) However, by next Christmas, we will have moved to a bigger house for our new addition so I was really debating getting a real one. Aside from the mess and having to get rid of it afterward, real trees are better, right?

I mean, I love my fake tree, it’s so easy to put up and take down and doesn’t require much maintenance, but storing it each year is becoming more and more inconvenient with an expanding family. So the thought of being able to take it to the tip at the end is leaning me towards a real tree next year

whats your thoughts?

I love seeing people’s real trees but I’m personally not a fan. I always remember having a real tree when we were younger as my sister and I begged for one but we found the pines for years after. I cba with the cleaning haha

  2. I go for fake for convenience but the smell and look of a real tree appeals to me so much more!

  3. I grew up always having an artificial tree and I loved it, but over the last few years I’ve really liked having a real one. It’s definitely nice to not have to store it and I love going to pick it out, especially now that my little one is getting older. I’d say the only downfalls for me are that the branches aren’t as strong to hold the ornaments, the pine needles that you’re still finding in June and the fact that I’m allergic, Ha! As long as I don’t touch it too much and wash my hands it’s not too bad. They both have good qualities but in the end I’d probably go with a real tree. 😄

  4. As a child I always had an artificial tree and hated it, I said when I grew up I’d always have a real one because it was the ‘proper’ way, low and behold I still have an artificial tree… It just seems so much faff for a real one, plus I’m terrified it would set alight, that video that made the Facebook rounds has scared me off for life!

I’m a real tree girl! We used to have artificial when I lived at home but Richard swayed me and I am not looking back. I love going and picking our tree and oh my gaaah the smell! There something just lovely about bringing in a tree haha!
